Betty:

I have to take care of myself and it's not easy at my age. It's on me to keep the house in order and to make sure the cheque book is balanced every month.

Mike:

About 25 years ago I took my life savings, all of my savings out of the bank, and started my business. I take a lot of pride in how I run my company.

Customer Service Representative (CSR):

Every morning when I walk through the doors, I stop for a minute and remind myself that I am here to help people. When the phone rings, I know the person on the other end of the line is depending on me.

Betty:

You know, I don't like using the Internet. So, every month I mail a cheque to Equitable Life. I always call them to make sure they got it. They know me by name, and they take the time to listen to me.

Mike:

We've had hassles with insurance companies in the past, but with Equitable Life, I can talk to a real person. Someone who can answer my questions and solve problems quickly. One of our team members was rushed to the hospital with a heart attack a few weeks ago. He was in pretty rough shape. So, we called Equitable Life. They worked with his wife to complete the forms and they got everything sorted out. Now he can focus on getting better.

CSR:

Just last week I received a call from a customer. His wife had just passed away and he was so overwhelmed dealing with all the details. I took down all his questions and concerns and called him back later that afternoon with the information he needed. He said we were the first company that really seemed to care about his loss; and I don't think I will ever forget that.

Mike:

With Equitable Life there is no red tape. They are reliable and they are efficient. That's important to me.

CSR:

I love being part of a company that cares more about the people than simply the bottom line. I'm proud of what we do here and I'm proud to say I work here.
